WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT OUR TRAIL RIDES!

Last Updated: 13th Mar 2019

Find-N-Trax has three rides in 3 separate forests to make the experience  different for each event. Though the rides are set in different forests they have some basics upon which they are built, this article is to explain those basics from the first step of entering to the responsibilities of us as organisors and you as a entrant.

The first thing you should know is that these rides are non competitive so they are set to allow all levels of entrants to be able to enjoy the experience. We do set some techical sections but they are a detour from the main course and are marked accordingly, therefore we are leaving it up to the rider to choose whether they wish to attempt something more technical or not.

We encourage all entrants to enter by going online, clicking on the open ride date which produces a box where online entry is available. The entrant puts in all the details required and then is given an Invoice Number as well as account details to pay the entry fee into within 5 working days, failure to pay within that time can render the entry invalid and may require entering again.

The Entry Fee is $120 per event which entitles not only the entry but a credit of $5 at our catering area which we have at every ride.the credit is claimed by giving the caterers at the event the backing from the number we give you at sign on.

$10 of every entry fee is paid to Foodbank as our charity of choice, we have raised over $35000 for Foodbank since starting our rides which has helped feed children in a special program run out of the Pooraka Market.

The Course is set in different country for each event and uses where possible new tracks for every ride. The distance is normally over 30 kilometres per event set out over 3 loops consisting of a Small Loop, a Large Loop (which generally has the small loop as part of it) and a test loop which can be ridden as part of the event even when not test riding a bike. The test Loop is specially set up for the KTM and Husqvarna Dealers to allow test riding of their bikes by entrants in the trail ride without cost, Test riding is gained simply by asking the dealer present.

Medical Facilities are onsite and provided by EMT Ambulance who are a charity organisation who look after disadvantaged people with medical services. EMT Ambulance have para medics at all of our rides and if we need to seek another service due to them being unable to attend we will always try to get the same level of support.

Toilets are provided either by onsite facilities or we hire them.

Final Directions and instructions for each ride will be posted on the TRAIL RIDE NEWS section of our website in the week before the event and all entrants must read them and comply or we may ask them to withdraw on the day if they don't comply.

The rides are only open to registered motorcycles or ones with a Temporary Permit. The Temporary Permit is one issued by Transport SA and can be obtained online through Ezyreg, but it only applies to complying registable motorcycles, NO MX bikes! The Victorian Rec Reg is also able to be used. Proof of registration in the name of the entrant must be shown on the day at sign on and we want a screen shot or paperwork brought to the event because generally we have very little phone coverage where we ride.

We are in the forest under permit's issued by Forestry SA and some generous landowners or lease owners so it is absolutely vital you do not return to ride the tracks created, we will lose all access if you do! Riders who have ridden our events have returned to previous areas we have used, we will be read the "riot act' by Forestry SA if it continues which means we can have our permits withdrawn, don't be the goose who wrecks it for everybody!
